How To Rent DVDs For Free For The Next 8 Months

Online DVD Rental Companies
There are now a number of new companies that are offering online DVD rental by mail services. These sites charge a subscription of around £15 per month, for which you are allowed to have 3 DVDs in your possession at any one time. The DVDs you are sent are the ones you have requested on your "wishlist". As soon as you return a DVD you are sent the next one from your "wishlist".

You can keep the DVDs as long as your like and there are no late fees or postage charges. The sites have a far larger range of DVDs than your local video store and if you end up watching 3 DVDs a week (which is not difficult) then the average price of renting a DVD ends up being less than £1.50.

Free Trials = Free DVDs
Best of all though these websites are competing for your business and are currently offering free trials of between 1 and 3 weeks. What this means that if you were to take advantage of each free trial you could be renting DVDs free for the next 8 months (34 weeks to be precise). If you take full advantage of the free trials and watch an average 3 DVDs a week that would mean you get to watch around 100 DVDs for free. Renting a DVD from you local video shop ususally costs about £4, so that would mean you would save yourself over £400.

No Hidden Charges
There is no trick involved in this. All you have to do is sign up for the free trial at each website, enter your credit card details (which are not charged until after the free trial ends). Then a day or two before the free trial ends you close your account and return the DVDs. Closing you account is a piece of cake and usually involves putting a tick in a box in the account details section of the website. You account will then be closed and your credit card will not be charged.

I haven't had to pay for a DVDs since January and I don't see why you should either, so I have created a list of the companies and free trials below.
